Just what it sounds like! Pretty much the whole building will be in play! Teams will each have a home base from which certain puzzles will need to be solved. Other puzzles will require the teams to revisit our four escapes.
Special Event at Escape Capers June 12 – 24
90% of Tickets Sold!
Revisit all four escape rooms while solving new puzzles in a two-hour, multi-group, escape room head-to-head!
By now, you’ve probably heard that Escape Capers will be moving soon as our lease is expiring at the end of June. If you haven’t, then this is your last call to come and play some of the most unique games Calgary has to offer including:
The Chamber of the Mysterati (Season 1)
Dick Dickerson: Private Eye (Season 1)
The Menagerie of Mythical Creatures (Season 2)
Maxim’s Cocktail Party (Season 2)
We know that many of you have already played all of our games (including our original escape in Maxim’s Dinner Party) and can’t wait for something new from Escape Capers. Well before we go we are going to put on one large-scale, full-facility, multi-team escape room extravaganza!
UPDATE: TICKETS ARE 90% SOLD OUT.
If you are unable to attend on either of the 2 remaining dates, email us to let us know if any of the following would work for you:
Sunday the 10th at 7:00
Sunday the 17th at 7:00
Sunday the 24th at 3:00
Monday the 25th at 7:00
If we have sufficient interest, we may open up one more event.
What do you mean by ``multi-team``?
There will be six teams competing at once. The first team to successfully solve all 13 puzzles will be the winner. Puzzle order will be staggered so that teams are not working on the same puzzles at the same time.
Does it matter whether I have/haven't played all of the rooms?
Puzzles will relate thematically to the rooms, but these are all brand new puzzles, none of which were puzzles were ever featured in any of the escapes, so it won’t have mattered too much if you’ve played them all before or not. I suppose teams who have played the room will have some small advantage for a couple of the puzzles, but we are taking steps to mitigate this. It shouldn’t be a deciding factor.
What size teams can play?
You will be able to play as a team of 3 or 4. If you only have a team of two you can email us. If we have another team of two who asks about the same date (and tickets are still available) we will pair you up.
When will the event take place? How long will it last? What will it cost?
The event will start at 7:00 on select evenings between June 12th and 24th. You’ll have at least 2 hours to try and finish, possibly a little more. Ticket will be $60 per person for teams of 3, or $50 per person for teams of 4.
Will there be prizes?
There will be a small prize for the winning team each night, plus a second prize for the group with the best time across all 7 evenings. Of course, beating 5 other teams in a puzzling head to head is also its own sort of satisfying, isn’t it?
How do I sign up?
Head over to the booking page to book. You’ll see that it’s one ticket per team (so $200 to book your team of 4). If you only have a team of 3, email us once you receive your confirmation and let us know and we’ll refund the difference in price. It’s a little confusing, but this was the best way to make sure that we don’t overbook an event.
The date I was hoping to book is already filled up! Any suggestions?
We only just released tickets this morning but yes, some days are already sold out. If you would like to attend but don’t see a date, send us an email. If there’s sufficient demand we might open up an extra night so you could come after all.
